Workplace & Leadership Resilience Course

7 sessions | 1.5 hours per session

Workplaces are shaped by deadlines, responsibility, change, different personalities and high expectations. Leaders and team members must make decisions, manage pressure, communicate clearly and work well with others—even during challenging seasons.
This practical seven-session resilience course equips teams and leaders with tools to understand themselves, manage unhelpful thoughts, improve communication and respond to challenges with greater confidence and clarity.

Our 7-Step Approach to Unlock the Best in Leaders and Teams

1. The Seven Pillars of Resilience

The course begins with the Seven Pillars of Resilience: optimism, self-efficacy, future orientation, acceptance, responsibility, solution orientation and network orientation.
We use this well-known resilience framework because it gives participants a clear and practical overview of resilience. It helps them recognise their existing strengths, identify areas they can develop and understand that resilience is not something people either have or do not have—it can be strengthened over time.

2. Thought Impact Cycle

We have thousands of thoughts every day, and many can be negative or unhelpful. But how much influence do these thoughts have on our work, leadership and relationships?
Participants discover how their thoughts affect their emotions, actions, habits and the working environment around them. They learn that thoughts are not commands and that they can choose healthier and more constructive responses.

3. Telephone Concept

The Telephone Concept explains self-awareness in a simple and practical way.
Participants learn to recognise what is happening within them, understand their emotions and needs, and communicate more clearly. Greater self-awareness helps team members and leaders better understand themselves and the people they work with.

4. Perception Filters

Without realising it, we all filter what we experience.
Participants discover how generalisation, distortion and deletion shape their view of workplace situations. These filters can create misunderstandings, negative thought cycles and incomplete stories that affect communication, teamwork and decision-making.

5. The Quest

After exploring thoughts, self-awareness and perception filters, participants learn how to reframe negative and unhelpful thinking.
The Quest is a practical tool that helps people question their first interpretation, consider different perspectives and develop thoughts that support constructive action, healthy communication and a resilient growth mindset.

6. IMOTIK

IMOTIK helps participants understand and manage their imagination, motivation, emotions and energy so they can move towards their goals.
Leaders and team members learn to recognise what may be holding them back and how to align their inner resources with their responsibilities, priorities and desired outcomes.

7. Gratitude

Resilience and gratitude belong together.
Gratitude helps teams focus on progress, strengths and positive contributions—even during stressful or demanding seasons. Practising gratitude can strengthen emotional wellbeing, improve team culture and help people approach their work with greater hope, appreciation and resilience.
